Wi-Fi coverage heatmaps

When designing a more secure and complex network, Wi-Fi coverage heatmaps are extremely useful.

Many IoT devices only support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, while other devices typically perform better on 5 GHz or 6 GHz bands, offering higher speed and efficiency for household use. For surveillance cameras—especially those relying on wireless connections in specific areas—heatmaps help identify weak spots and ensure reliable coverage.

Heatmaps are also essential for avoiding channel interference between access points, helping to maintain optimal signal strength and network performance.

In addition to Wi-Fi, Zigbee and MQTT-based IoT devices may also benefit from signal coverage heatmaps to ensure stable mesh or communication paths.

If necessary, diagrams of these IoT network heatmaps can be included to illustrate coverage and device placement.

Keep in mind that both Wi-Fi and IoT heatmaps often require significant optimization and may involve one-time setup and tuning.
